Metro HH Staff Complete Alzheimer’s Supportive Home Care Aide Training

Congratulations to Myriam Charles, Luzimar DaSilva, Joseph Favard and Isabella Rivert who participated in the Alzheimer’s Supportive Home Care Aide Training in January, 2017.  All four employees of Metropolitan Home Health Services, Inc. completed the two (2) day/twelve (12) hour training which was offered by Mystic Valley Elder Services and The Home Care Aide Council.  This twelve-hour training, developed by the Alzheimer’s Association Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter, provided our Home Health Aides with critical skills and knowledge about dementia.  With the percentage of elders who have Alzheimer’s Disease or Related Disorders (ADRD) there is a great demand for home health aides to be trained as Alzheimer’s Supportive Home Care Aides (SHCA).
