On Monday, March 10, 2014, roughly 50 people from the Lexington Senior Center attended a presentation on “What is Home Health Care?”
The program covered important topics, such as:
- What does it cost?
- What does insurance cover?
- When do I need it?
- Services available
- Organizations to offset fees
Yvonne A. Arpiarian, RN, Director of Metropolitan Home Health Services, Inc., led the informative session, along with Roslyn D Arpiarian, Outreach Coordinator.
After all of the significant questions were answered, Deborah A Beauciare, Director of Marketing and Office Management, served the seniors delicious Armenian pastries including Khurabia, Armenian butter cookies, Gata, traditional Christmas treats and Pahklava, a variation of Baklava.
Each individual received a packet with recipes to make these goodies at home, along with relevant handouts for future reference.
